GCSE MODERATION
FOOTBALL
- GROUP WARM UP –
- Full pitch, stretch in each corner
- SHORT PASSING –
- In pairs 5 yards apart (yellow line – edge of the box)
- Using correct passing technique, side of foot pass & control
- Using outside of foot dragging ball across body then passing
- Control with 1 foot pass with the other
- LONG PASSING –
- In pairs 10-15 yards apart, chip/strike the ball into partners hands.
- Partner then places the ball on the floor and strikes/chips ball back (DON’T CONTROL THE BALL, CATCH THE BALL)
- CONTROL
- In pairs stood 5 yards apart 1 will be working for 5 attempts while the other feeds.
- Volley – side or laces of foot
- Knee – volley or half volley back
- Chest - volley or half volley back
- HEADING –
- In pairs stood 5 yards apart, 1 will be working for 5 attempts while the other feeds.
- Defensive header – head over their partner, looking for height and distance
- Attacking header – head towards feet of partner
- DRIBBLING –
- In a 20x10 grid, the first of the pairs goes into the square and works for 45seconds while the other stands on the outside
- Dribbling – showing speed on the ball while watching out for others
- Change of direction – different types of turns
- 3v1 POSSESSION –
- In groups of 4 in a 10x10 grid, the 3 attackers have to keep possession of the ball for 5-8 successful passes, then they swap over
- 9 ASIDE GAME ON HALF A PITCH
