Netball - Performance - Acquire, Develop, Select and Apply Skills
In order for pupils to gain a sub level 'c' they must be able to complete 2 of the requirements, to gain a 'b' they must be able to complete 4 of the requirements and to gain an 'a' they must complete all requirements.

2 I can get ready to receive a ball.
2 I can move into a space to catch the ball.
2 I can score using a large target.
2 I can mark an opponent but often lose them during the game.
2 I can use basic tactics to keep possession of a ball in a 1 v 2/3 situation.
2 I can understand the difference between an attacking role and a defending role.
   
3 I can carry out a range of passes with some accuracy.
3 I can follow the footwork rule in controlled drills.
3 I can shoot at goal but lack accuracy and good technique.
3 I can change direction and speed in a game situation.
3 I can understand and follow basic rules of a game.
3 I can use simple patterns of play to attack and defend.
   
4 I can perform the chest past, overhead pass/bounce pass, but sometimes they lacks power or accuracy. 
4 I can catch the ball when moving, but sometimes get my footwork wrong.
4 I can pivot.
4 I can show the correct technique when shooting. 
4 I can sometimes mark an opponent and can sometimes get free from my opponent.
4 I can get involved in the game, but may need help with some of the tactics.
   
5 I can perform a chest pass/ overhead pass/bounce pass ,accurately, using the correct technique.
5 I can show the correct footwork when catching the ball. 
5 I can indicate where I want the ball to be passed.
5 I can dodge to get away from my opponent in to space.
5 I can mark my opponent so she has difficulty getting the ball. 
5 I can involve myself fully in the game, showing I understand the position I am playing.
 
6 I can use a variety of passes effectively in a game situation.
6 I can jump to catch the ball in the air and use the correct footwork when I land.
6 I can attempt to catch the ball with one or two hands.
6 I can intercept a pass and can mark the ball when my opponent has possession.
6 I can use a variety of dodges to get away from my opponent. 
6 I can show a good understanding of the tactics involved.
 
7 I can demonstrate a variety of passes showing accuracy and power.
7 I can jump to catch the ball in the air and can sometimes use a running pass when releasing the ball.
7 I can effectively take the ball in the air using one or two hands.
7 I can mark effectively to delay the receipt of a pass by an opponent.
7 I can make a difference to the game in both an attacking and a defending role.
7 I can plan and execute appropriate tactics to enhance my game play.
8 I can successfully weight and direct passes every time I pass to reach the desired player.
8 I can successfully use a running pass when releasing the ball on the move.
8 I can successfully demonstrate third stage defending.
8 I can create scoring opportunities in attack and can close down the opposition using a variety of defensive techniques.
8 I can apply all advanced skills and tactics to a game situation and make few errors.

Exceptional performers are those who can complete all the basic and advanced skills to a outstanding level, well above what is normally recognised at school level. They are able to officiate to a high standard understanding all the rules required. They are also able to give detailed feedback to other performers, suggesting strengths and weaknesses, and concluding with how the performer can improve their performance
