Assertive Discipline

Behaviour management is an integral role of all teachers at Castleford High School. We operate a successful system of sanctions and rewards called Assertive Discipline. This system involved a set of simple rules which pupils are required to follow in each area of the school, if pupils follow the rules they are rewarded at the end of each lesson. If pupils choose not to follow the simple rules they are sanctioned in accordance with the system set by all teachers and non-teachers across the school.

2. REMEMBER to be equipped with your planner, pen and pencil

2. 5 stamps

= 1 diamond sticker

  • 5 minutes detention
3. ALWAYS put up your hand to talk

  • 10 minutes detention
4. FOLLOW instructions first time
 
  • 30 minutes detention
