Uniform was introduced to Castleford High School in 1989 to establish an identity for pupils and recognition within the wider community to reflect a pride and image in the school. Following discussions the governors of the school have reviewed the uniform requirements. These new requirements will take effect for all pupils from 1st September 2006. |

*NEW* FROM SEPTEMBER 2007
Pupils will be required to wear a new 'Clip on' style school tie, this will replace the existing ties and is designed to make dressing for school smarter and easier.
Compulsory: Black blazer with school badge, school tie, plain white shirt (of sufficient length so they can be tucked in) (not polo shirt), black shoes, plain black trousers or skirt.
In addition: Pupils may also wear under their blazer a plain black V-neck or crew neck jumper, cardigan or Castleford High School sweatshirt.
Compulsory: School tie, plain black trousers or skirt, black shoes, plain white shirt or plain white polo shirt.
In addition: Pupils may also wear over their shirt a plain black v-neck or crew neck jumper, cardigan or Castleford High School sweatshirt or black blazer with school badge.
The simple and concise lists above include the school giving each new pupil on entry a school tie and blazer badge. If they need replacing due to damage the pupils will have to buy them. The uniform requirements also state:
