Our school has excellent sports facilities including gymnasium, new sports hall (May 2009), playing fields, flood-lit astro turf pitch with a capacity for two teaching groups, tennis courts, new dance studio and a new fitness room and has recently been successfully re-designated as a Technology and Sports College. Attainment of students has risen to 70% 5 A* - C, G.C.S.E grades, and within Physical Education we achieved 84 % A-C grades.
Required for September 2008, we are looking to appoint a qualified, enthusiastic teacher of Physical Education to join our highly successful and progressive department. A strong commitment to extra curricular activities is a necessity as the department has an excellent reputation both locally and nationally for its sporting teams. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across a range of activities at Key Stage 3 and 4. There will be an opportunity to deliver BTEC, GCSE PE and Sports Leadership courses available for a suitably qualified candidate.
