Castleford picked up their third title of the Finals day when their Year Nine Boys team overwhelmed a valiant Wade Deacon team
The well-drilled Castleford pack took some time to subdue the Wade Deacon six but once they succeeded in that task then the gaps regularly appeared in the Cheshire team’s defence.
Castleford had taken an early lead with an unimproved try by Luke Smith although Wade Deacon were well in the game at point.
Wade Deacon had created their fair share of chances but they failed to make any impression on the scoreline because they could not control the ball.
The game eventually swung Castleford’s way when Jordan Gill romped over for a try which was converted by Connor Land and they pulled further away minutes before halftime when Shaun Pick punished another Wade Deacon defensive error to score a try that was converted by Land.
Centre James Caton gave Wade Deacon some hope when he eventually located a gap in the Castleford gap and raced through to score an unconverted try. But Castleford emphasized their superiority when they registered two more unconverted tries through George Marchant and Richard Lloyd.
